Dance for Parkinson’s is designed specifically for individuals with Parkinson’s Disease and their spouses, family members and care givers. Classes will integrate various movement forms such as ballet, modern, folk dance, improvisation and rhythmic dance styles to engage participants in an aesthetic experience that develops artistry while addressing various PD specific concerns such as balance, flexibility, coordination, isolation and depression.
Mat & Ball Class blends physical therapy, functional fitness and Pilates utilizing a mat and physioball. Beginner - Intermediate level. Recommended props for class: • One 65cm Physioball • One 1lb or 2lb hand weight • Two 4lb or 5lb hand weights • Pilates or yoga mat
Tai Chi for Healthisan ancient Chinese exercise system that is proven to enhance balance and improve physical and mental well-being. This class uses gentle Tai Chi exercises that are safe, easy to learn, and suitable for everyone.
Joyful Dance Fitnessis a light heart pumping and music bumping guided fitness class. Our supportive and joyful environment welcomes you to honor your body's needs, while exploring the freedom and fun of expressive movement. No dance experience is necessary-just a willingness to move and listen to your body. Our session will include guided movement and breathwork, optional aroma infusion, and a musical meditation with live piano accompaniment. 'Let's burn it up and breathe it out together!' Walk-ins welcome.
