Class Descriptions:
Argentine tango is a magical social dance, experiencing a world-wide revival. These classes cover the tango’s movements, technique, and lead and follow, at various levels. Learn the language of tango, including historical anecdotes, and its social customs, so that you can dance anywhere, with anyone. Milonga social dances are also offered twice a month. Come with or without a partner. Wear dance shoes or socks.
Feldenkrais class Awareness Through Movement (ATM) is a component of the Feldenkrais Method, which is a mode of somatic education. During an ATM class, students engage in precisely structured movement explorations that involve thinking, sensing, moving, and imagining. Many lessons are based on developmental movements and ordinary functional activities. Some are based on more abstract explorations of joint, muscle, and postural relationships. The lessons consist of comfortable, easy movements that gradually evolve into movements of greater range and complexity. ATM lessons attempt to make one aware of his/her habitual neuromuscular patterns and rigidities and to expand options for new ways of moving.
Capoeira, an Afro-brazilian martial art, combines elements of self-defense, music, dance and acrobatics.
Dance generators is an intergenerational performance company whose members' ages span eight decades. In addition to their rehearsals, they offer occasional movement classes.
Hoop fit & flow™, regardless of age, size or rhythmic ability, hooping is an activity that most everyone can enjoy. It’s a low impact, high cardio activity. The class is suitable for beginners to advanced hoopers. Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your space early. Drop ins are welcome - not encouraged.

Mat & ball class is taught by one of our Physical Therapists and blends pilates, physical therapy & functional fitness, utilizing a mat and physioball. Drop ins and all levels are welcome.
Pilates is a mixed level Pilates mat class combines the core strength, flexibility, and toning of Pilates with personalized movement analysis. (As a beginner, you will be introduced to the basic Pilates concepts and exercises while addressing any rehabilitation needs that may prevent you from moving safely into the more advanced portion of class.) Every 4 weeks the focus of the class changes based on you and your classmates' needs to ensure that a variety of needs are met.
Pilates Classic is a pilates fundamentals class that focus on breath control, core development and proper alignment for all levels.
Pilates/breath/stretch is a core movement class with strengthening, breathwork to help find and stay in the core, weights, and physioball excerises. Blend of Body-Mind Centering, Pilates, and movement therapy principles in a creative approach designed for all levels. Come join us!
Tai chi Chinese health exercise & martial art. All levels welcome.
Tribal fusion bellydance class combines Middle Eastern movement traditions with American stylizations for a class that is fierce, fun, and fabulous. Here, we treat each individual shape and set of abilities not as a deviation from an ideal but rather as a chance to express a unique personality. Each class begins with a long yoga-inspired warmup designed to open and awaken the particular muscle groups used in bellydance, continues to a set of breakdowns and drills that get into the micromuscles and isolations used to create the set of movements the class will focus on, and then spends time looking at how to build and create one particular group of expressive movements. Classes are emphatically multi-level: while new dancers are especially welcomed, dancers of all levels of experience will find new articulations to explore.
